SHORT COURSES

Permaculture Design Course-Plus
This new Permaculture Design Course will equip you with the knowledge base for assessment in the core units of Certificate IV in Permaculture.

The new APT™ PDC- plus will be conducted over 14-15 days to cover the additional requirements for accreditation assessment. There will be an additional 5-day course offered in Design Drafting and Client Communications which is required prior to assessment in some Cert IV units. The Permaculture Cert IV core units are an essential prerequisite for doing the Diploma of Permaculture.

Permaculture for Third World & Indigenous Peoples
This course has been revised to meet the competency requirements of Accredited Permaculture Training.
Completion of a PDC or equivalent permaculture course is a prerequisite. The new training will be delivered in 2 modules.

1. Working in other cultures & facilitating community development.
This course is designed for people interested in working as supervisors and project officers and leads to assement in Permaculture Certificate IV competencies RTD4802A
2. Managing Overseas Permaculture Projects.
This course builds on Module 1 with more in-depth training and project management skills and leads to assessment in Diploma of Permaculture competency PIL 508A Plan management strategies for overseas development projects.

Eco-Village and Sustainable Community Design
Accredited Permaculture Training approved.
This course relates to a number of units of competency at the Diploma level of (APT™). The prior knowledge of a PDC or equivalent training is assumed.

This course brings together key people working on the cutting edge of sustainable solutions in planning, social and environmental design and community development.

Bushfoods & Natives in Permaculture
6-day Intensive Course with Peter Hardwick. This course will provide underpinning knowlegde and skills for competency units at Cert III and IV of Accredited Permaculture Training (APT™)

Explore creative ways to integrate native plants into permaculture design: from the backyard to the bush, and the potential for commercial bushfood production in permaculture & sustainable agriculture.

The course is a must for anyone concerned with the integration of native plants and bushfoods in sustainable agriculture and horticulture and for permaculture designers, teachers, practitioners and producers.

A basic working knowledge of permaculture design principles and practice is assumed. Prior attendance of a PDC or introductory permaculture course is preferred but not essential.

Hands-on workshops for the aspiring gourmet gardener - learn not only about growing these wonderful plants but how and when to harvest and turn them into culinary delights for the table. The day will include collectively harvesting and cooking up a feast.

Explore the amazing diversity of bushfoods growing here in the gardens, when and how to harvest. Learn how to use them in making conserves, sauces, beverages and to create all kinds of memorable dishes to please the pallate.

Workshop Fee: $55/$40 conc. includes refreshments, lunch & recipies .

Robyn Francis is passionate about good, tasty healthy food and has gleaned a multitude of tips and recipies from her extensive travels and years of catering experience. The focus is on gourmet vegetarian dishes with some recipies for seafood & free-range meats.
