Permaculture
Education
Permaculture
provides positive & practical solutions to many of the issues and challenges
confronting us as we move into the new millenium. Education and training is
the key to being empowered with the skills and information to really make
a difference.
"Permaculture Education" was established by Robyn Francis in
1989 and has trained over 2000 people from interstate and overseas. Based
at Djanbung Gardens. "Permaculture Education"
networks with groups in New Zealand, Indonesia and East Timor & is looking
forward to extending it's services and support to other Asia-Pacific neighbours.
In October 2003, Robyn Francis through 'Permaculture Education' became the
first approved trainer and assessor of APT, Accredited Permaculture Training,
in Australia. The new accredited training commenced in January 2004.
Accredited
Permaculture Training (APT) will offer nationally recognised qualifications:
Certificates 1-4 in Permaculture and Diploma of Permaculture. People who have
previously completed a Permaculture Design Course will have this knowledge
recognised under the new system and can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning
for the new qualifications based on their practical experience and skills
in permaculture applications.
