IMPORTANT NOTICE
From January 2004 the new APT PDC-plus format
has been introduced.
This new Permaculture Design Course will equip you with the knowledge base
for assessment
in the core units of Certificate IV in Permaculture.
The new APT PDC- plus will be conducted over 14-15 days to cover the additional requirements for accreditation assessment. There will be an additional 5-day course offered in Design Drafting and Client Communications which is required prior to assessment in some Cert IV units. The Permaculture Cert IV core units are an essential prerequisite for doing the Diploma of Permaculture.

the unique village of Nimbin.
Bridge theory and practice as you live, learn and explore this creative environment
and experience first-hand ecological building, productive gardens and forest
ecosystems, integrated poultry, biological sewage and greywater treatment,
intricate water catchment management and aquaculture, eco-village and community
development projects, alternative technology and energy systems and a pilgrimage
to the ancient world heritage rainforest of Nightcap National Park.
Permaculture
Design Course - certificate of completion
This
course includes the 72 hour curriculum of the Permaculture Institute and on
completion you will receive the Permaculture Design Course Certificate of
Completion.
Successful completion of a PDC is a prerequisite for becoming a full member
of Permaculture International Ltd, for attending Permaculture Designer's conferences,
convergences and gatherings, and is The Permaculture Institute's minimum requirement
for using the name Permaculture in design, consulting and educational work.
Completion of a PDC is an essential pre-requisite for anyone wishing to register
as a trainer and assesor of APT.

The Earthwise
PDC at Djanbung Gardens covers the international curricullum, addressing all
major climatic zones and attracts participants from all over Australia and
overseas, creating a diverse and stimutating social atmosphere of like-minded
people.
You receive a copy of Permaculture Educations PDC Handbook with over
120 pages of notes and resource information prepared by Robyn Francis, to
reduce the stress of note-taking & provide you with a valuable information
resource for future reference.

Course
duration: 90 hours
The PDC is a 2-3 week intensive programme over 14-15 days from 9am-5.30pm
with some evening sessions.
First day starts 10am.
Prerequisites: Participants are expected to be familiar with basic permaculture
principles.
It is advisable to read 'Intoduction to Permaculture' by Bill Mollison &
Reny Slay.

Low income students can apply to do voluntary work for a course fee concession

the PDC you will need:
Pens,
pencils, rubber, colour pens/textas, ruler, lecture pad, clip board, comfortable
walking shoes, hat, sunscreen & wet weather gear
